Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Working with your monthly delivery from Enjoy Flowers, make sure you start by gathering all your materials. You’ll need: one plastic twist tie, a sharp pair of scissors, one clear glass vase (a rectangular shape is ideal for this arrangement), and of course a packet of flower food powder.

Step 2: Remove The Bottom Leaves From Each Stem

It’s important to remove all the bottom leaves from each stem to prolong the freshness of your bouquets. Any leaves that get submerged in the vase water can contribute to bacterial growth and decrease the shelf life of your flowers.

Step 3: Prepare Your Vase With Water

Pour water into your two vases and add flower food powder to each vase. If you don’t have a packet of flower food powder, you can use an alternative to keep bacteria out of the water. Try a few splashes of apple cider vinegar or a mixture of bleach, sugar and lemon.

Step 4: Cut the Stems to Fit Your Glass Vase

Cut the bottom of the stems so that the flowers will fit perfectly in your clear glass vase. Keep the stems long for this arrangement as you want the flowers to fan out from the vase in a dramatic style. Remember, it’s easier to cut more of the stem off later so if you’re not sure, start with a longer length and reduce from there.

Step 5: Place the Red Alstroemeria and Bicolor Roses In the Vase

Start by lining the vase with some red alstroemeria stems and then add in several bicolor roses to the center of the arrangement. Add more red alstroemeria around the roses.

Step 6: Add the Miriscina and Green Ball to the Arrangement

Add the miriscina greenery to the bouquet and mix in the green ball stems for pops of green texture. Then fill in the space with the remaining red alstroemeria and bicolor roses to fill the vase.

Step 7: Enjoy

Voila, your bouquet is ready to add dramatic flair to any space!
