Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Working with your monthly delivery from Enjoy Flowers, make sure you start by gathering all your materials. You’ll need: one large vase or bowl of water, a block of floral foam, a sharp pair of scissors, a sharp knife, a silver goblet vase, a pitcher of water and a packet of flower food.

Step 2: Prepare Your Floral Foam Base

Place your block of floral foam over the goblet vase and cut the block into a square shape to approximately fit the vase. Fill a large vase or bowl with water and place your floral foam block in the water to soak it up. Once it’s wet, cut the sides of the floral foam block to fit your goblet vase perfectly (in this case we cut it into a hexagon shape).

Step 3: Prepare Your Vase with Water

Place your floral foam base into the goblet vase. Add flower food powder to your pitcher of water and pour it onto the foam to fill the vase. If you don’t have a packet of flower food powder, you can use an alternative to keep bacteria out of the water. Try a few splashes of apple cider vinegar or a mixture of bleach, sugar and lemon.

Step 3: Remove The Bottom Leaves From Each Stem

It’s important to remove all the bottom leaves from each stem to prolong the freshness of your bouquets. Any leaves that get submerged in the vase water can contribute to bacterial growth and decrease the shelf life of your flowers.

Step 4: Place the Red Leucoespermum and Orange Roses Into Your Base

Cut the stems of several red leucoespermum and orange roses and place them into your floral foam base. For this arrangement, cutting the stems short will create the desired look.

Step 5: Add Eucalyptus, Yellow Roses, Yellow Micro-Pompons, Red Alstroemeria and Orange Leucoespermum

Place the eucalyptus into your arrangement for a nice green texture that offsets the red and yellow flowers. Continue to fill in the arrangement with yellow roses, yellow micro-pompons and orange leucoespermum. Make sure you fill in the bouquet so that you can’t see any of the foam.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Place this colorful bouquet on your dining room table for a summer centerpiece that enlivens the space.
